Amelia is a former PhD student in Neuroscience and succesfully defended her thesis on hippocampal related learning in chronic pain in spring of 2013. She is interested in studying the brain in pain, particularly through the use of animal models of chronic pain states, and using this information to better ease pain and suffering in humans.
